When unpacking this, I was shocked at how much there was. It just seemed to keep coming out of the box! Everything seems very good quality too. I can't conceive of anything else you could possibly need, although I am only starting out in the world of cake decoration so far! Definitely not ready for Big Bake Off just yet. I can see how when you get right into it, there might be some extra bits to buy, a bigger turntable maybe, but this is more than adequate for me and will see me through to being at least semi-competent I'm guessing!

Got this kit mainly for the decorating turntable, which is plastic but well-made and effective, turning smoothly on the ball bearings. This is dishwasher safe. However, the box comes crammed with all the other useful cake decorating gear, making for a comprehensive kit. The included spatulas are a decent size, with two blade shapes provided. The whisk is basic but functional. The candy moulds, carving pens, piping gear all add options as to what can be achieved with this kit. To complete the kit there is a good selection of colourful disposable cake cups and loads of piping bags, along with some birthday decorations. Good kit for those that don’t have much cake decorating gear, gives you what you need in one well filled box!

I'm no pastry chef but I do like to get involved in making birthday cakes for the family. I've always wanted a turn table so when this came up for review I snapped it up. This is a seriously comprehensive bit of kit with literally everything you could want to ice and dress a cake. Some of things supplied I have no idea what they're for! These are not professional standard pieces of equipment but they are more than sufficient quality for the home cook, and some of the items are really useful additions - the cheese wire for slicing cakes, for example, is likely to be much easier to use than a knife. It also comes with 2 types of palate knife, a balloon whisk, endless piping bags and nozzles and a load of Happy Birthday decorations. I'm delighted to have received this and I can't wait to bake my next birthday cake. 5 stars

Its packed with all kinds of piping bags, cookie moulds, shaping tools, spatulas and bun cases plus a very nice cake turntable which rotates very smoothly thanks to it having bearings. We got this to try with some new food colour we got to try and yes the colouring was good but I LOVED using this, the best pipe work I have ever done I almost felt it was a waste to eat my art work :) A huge set here for a very reasonable price! It is very impressive kit, I have always wanted to try pipe work again I tried it twice in the past with cheap basic set ups and I was simply rubbish. This kit is great, I watched videos and followed them and I even managed to make piped flowers for the first time!!!! I love this set. I let my neice and nephews have a try the boys were a total mess but my neice was a total pro she could work in a kitchen if she didn't have school in the morning LOL. She wants to start baking with me once a week from now on so we use this every week she loved it that much which I am happy to do with her. Cracking kit, great price, well made very happy.
