Our daughters had taken an interest in baking so we thought we would try this set The set consists of everything you need as a starter pack for cake decorating. The cake turntable is a good size and moves smoothly. The cake leveller cuts through the cake easily. We found the selection of piping tips impressive offering a range of decorative finishes. The spatulas are sturdy making it easy to apply icing. The cake smoothers a performed well too. Overall a lovely cake decoration set. Everything is well made and work well. We consider the price to be great value considering the amount of items in the pack.

This cake decorating set is a great set to get you started. It includes a cake turner, which is important for getting buttercream smooth. The spatulas are great, although a little thin. The piping bags are a little small but do the job. Great bit of starting kit, for someone learning to decorate cakes.

Most of the product was okay considering it was pretty cheap. Plastic swivel cake decorating plate, plastic icing scrapers and icing bags, but the main reason for buying this was the cake leveller which is useless thus the two stars. Should have known better!!

Well neither the cake turntable not the palette knives look like the photo, but they both seem better, so I'm happy! The turntable is lower than the one in the photo, and I really wasn't expecting much for this, but it's actually really smooth, even loaded witha three-layer 8" cake. I normally have a huge metal one and I do love it for its smoothness, but it's a chonky fella and a bit of a bear to move around. This is really light and easy to throw int he back of a cupboard or on a top shelf out of sight, when not it use. You'd need a reasonably heavy cake to keep it still when in use, but fortunately that's just what you'll be putting on it! I generally blue-tak my actual cake board ontot he top of my turntable, as it's easier than the stress of trying to move a fully-iced cake, and I can use a nice big blob of buttercream to attach the cake to the base for icing, if I know I'm not going to have to remove it later. The leveller is a wee bit on the flimsy side,t hough it cut my plain sponge cake fine. You even get a spare wire with it. The trick with them is to open the frame wide enough to put a lot of tension onthe wire before you start cutting. The frame does have notches to set the height of the cut, but they don't really go up high enough to use as a leveller for cake tops, they're strictky for mid-way dividing, which is a pity. The handle is big enough, the notches just don't go up high enough. The two palette knives as a wee bit short but useful nontheless, and unlike the ones in the photo, they have wooden handles. They're a bit bright red dyed when you get them, but that settles out after their first wash, and now they look really nice. You get a straight and an offset-blade one. Would have preferred one long one to two shorter ones, but there you go. The icing nozzles are fine, and all work okay. The bags a bit small but good to use at a pinch. The nozzle holder is plastic which is apity, but for the ptice of the kit I'm not complaining. At least the nozzles themselves are metal. You also get three little plastic scrapers which honestly I seem to have accumulated about nine of them now, but I've never used any; thet's what your palette knife is for, and the zig-zag edge doesn't appeal. In all then, I'd actually say this is a pretty amazing kit for the price. The turntable, cutter and palette knives, as well as the icing nozzles and 20 bags, all work exactly as intended, and will give you a godd finish. A great starter into cake decorating.

Everything that’s really needed for cake decorating. The real winner of the set is the turning table which means that all sides can be decorated easily just by turning it round without much friction. Piping bags aren’t the best quality but will suffice and it’s always handy to have spares. Great for any amateur.

I'm really pleased with this cake decorating set, although I am just a home baker for my family, not a professional. I've never had a turning table before, but I know it will definitely help when I decorate my cakes, and this one turns smoothly, and has a rubber band around the base, so it doesn't move/slip on my counter. The cake cutter is also a highlight of the set for me, as I'm awful at trying to cut cakes evenly! Before first use, you do have to remove the little plastic ends, and bend the cutter wider, so the metal cutting strip is pulled tight, but it was extremely easy to do. I think you get a lot for the money, and the quality of everything seems good. I have a lot of upcoming birthdays in the family, so everything is going to be put to good use. I will update my review if anything changes, but for me this is perfect to get started with!

This cake decorating kit is a nice set for anyone starting out! I'm really impressed with the cake stand – it works a treat. All the palette knives are spot on for spreading and smoothing. The icing bags seem fine, and the scrapers do their job. The one issue I've had is with the cake cutter; I still haven't managed to tighten it properly, so I'm not quite sure how it's supposed to work.

Very nice set for cake making. I only bake as a hobby for birthdays, and this set helped me to improve my piping skills very much. Spinning table helps to cover easily, there is even sponge cutter which helps to make even layers, spatulas helps to make it smooth and pipes with little bits are great for decorating. Very nice set.
